About Us

My name is Pratima Gokhul and I am the founder of Beauty by Preita, a NYC-based small business.

My beauty journey began when I was 13 years old. I always found myself going through my mom’s makeup bag before going to school back in middle school. Coming from a Brown household, I wasn’t allowed to wear makeup under any circumstances at such a young age. However, the young rebel inside of me used to sneak and put on my mom’s foundation as well as her eyeliner everyday before attending my 8th grade class. Since then I knew my calling for all things beauty-related was incredibly strong.

Years later, I began researching on how to start my own makeup line. The aspiring entrepreneur in me worked tirelessly in trying to collect funds/ researching what I want my brand to bring to the table.
